Does a tutor have to pay for AllSet?
Your first family is free. The invitation comes from the family, it is for one named child, and there is nothing to buy to accept it. Beyond that first family, one subscription covers every family you tutor and every class you teach, however many there are.
How do I get access to my student's planner?
Ask the parent to send you a tutor code from AllSet. You redeem it, and the parent approves you. Two steps, because a code can be forwarded or read over a shoulder, so redeeming it grants nothing until the parent confirms. One code covers one child, so two siblings means two codes.
What can I actually see?
That one child's school week: what the school has set, what is due and when, the timetable, and when the exams are along with which revision topics are still unticked, plus the study plan you have added. You see nothing else in that household and nothing about any other family. There is no open chat: comments attach to a specific piece of work.
What can I add for my student?
A study plan and a note after each session. You can put revision, practice or a worksheet on the child's planner, on the days you choose, and log what you covered. The child and their parent see both. Homework and exams come from the school and the family, so your plan sits beside them in the same list.
Can the parent remove me?
At any time, and without asking anyone. The link belongs to the family. Ending one child's link never affects a sibling's, because each is a separate link.
What does the paid tutor plan cover, then?
The paid plan is for teaching your own groups rather than tutoring a family's child. Running a class in AllSet is free for your first class, up to sixty students. A second class, or a sixty-first student, is what ₹199 / month covers. One-to-one tuition links a parent invites you into are outside that entirely.
Is there anything my student's family has to have?
Yes, and it is worth knowing before you ask. Sending a tutor invite is part of the paid family plan, so a family on the free receive-only tier will not have the button. New accounts get a free trial of the paid plan, so most families can send a code straight away.
